Traffic Engineering in Future Internet Domains

چکیده
The TEFID framework for Traffic Engineering in Future Internet Domains is outlined. The framework provides QoS and GoS by a set of inter-dependent traffic control and resource allocation functions. Traffic engineering relies on a relationship between three models: traffic model, network model, and performance model. The objective is to achieve fair and efficient sharing of resources among the network users. The research in this project focuses on traffic modeling, performance modeling, and call admission control and routing.

Advanced operations research techniques for multi-constraint QoS routing in internet
Internet Traffic has grown exponentially over last few years due to provision of multiple class services through Internet backbone. With the explosive use of Internet, contemporary Internet routers are susceptible to overloads and their services deteriorate drastically and often cause denial of services. In this paper, an analysis is made how forecasting technique, routing algorithm and Genetic...
متن کاملDynamic Traffic Engineering for Future IP Networks
Efficient routing algorithms have always been among the core building blocks of any packet switching network. Whereas most routing protocols have primarily been designed for achieving network robustness and fast network convergence in the case of failures, the research interest in the routing of Internet traffic has recently extended towards traffic engineering, i.e., performance optimization o...
متن کاملTraffic Engineering Between Neighboring Domains
Network operators control the flow of traffic in today’s IP networks by manipulating the configuration of the routing protocols running on their routers. Although intradomain traffic engineering is largely isolated to individual Autonomous Systems (ASes), changes to interdomain routing policies affect the traffic load in other domains. In this paper, we argue that neighboring ASes should cooper...
متن کاملQoS and Traffic Engineering: MPLS, DiffServ and Constraint Based Routing
Providing Quality of Service (QoS) and Traffic Engineering capabilities in the Internet is very essential to support the requirements of current and future Internet services. MPLS and Diffserv show a lot of promise for making this a reality. Unfortunately, current network simulators lack a robust and coherent implementation of these technologies. The aim of this project is to deliver a complete...
متن کاملInter-Domain Traffic Engineering on a Bandwidth Broker Supported Diffserv Internet
In this paper, we are proposing an Inter-domain traffic engineering architecture over a Bandwidth Broker (BB) supported Diffserv internet. The main components of our architecture are a novel inter-domain QoS routing architecture, the addition of an explicit path setup capability to the Simple Inter-domain Bandwidth Broker Signaling (SIBBS) protocol, and inter-domain label switched path (LSP) se...
